Where is the PLUS SIGN for the components

I built an app with Retool almost two years ago, and now I'm ready to try building another app., but when I do, I don't see the PLUS SIGN to add components to my app.? I'm on the "Free" plan.

HI @Craig_Madsen,

Welcome back! It should be top left if you have created a blank app.

If you are on the main Apps page still, then you need to click Create >> App

If that doesn't work please share a screenshot or 2.

This shouldn't be that difficult! If I choose from the BLUE dropdown that says CREATE and select APP, I can see the plus sign and the components, however, then I don't see how I tell it to be a web/iPad/iPhone size?
Also, now that I have tried choosing the build a phone app., etc., now I can't delete any of these in "Draft" mode?

It is a bit of a learning curve to navigate the mobile app section I agree. Hang in there, it gets easier and there is always someone around to help out.

Here's a tutorial that walks you through the UI and how to do the basics.

To delete, it is kind of hidden. Click on the three dots to the right of the location and you will see the option Move to trash.

I haven't done the tutorial yet, but I have clicked on the three dots and said move to trash and that's when it's throwing the error?

Thanks!

Ok, so I just reproduced this. Here is what I did to send to trash properly. I opened the app and I published it (top right) then went back and deleted it without issues. It does seem more like a bug but this works.

Hi @Tess I just ran across a similar issue as here:

The app was still a draft. I had to publish it, then I was able to delete the app.

This is definitely a bug and something that we're aware of! The fix will likely roll out by early next week, if not sooner. :+1: As you've discovered, the temporary workaround is to simply publish the app before deleting it.

On a separate note, keep the feedback coming, @Craig_Madsen! Welcome back to Retool and don't hesitate to let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks @Darren!

This has been fixed on Cloud version 3.190.0! You can now delete content directly from the Drafts folder.
