Question / Description:
I've added a few users that are meant to be external. They have different email domains, they are in the groups, [All Users, External Users, Customer_Name]. They only have Use permissions in the External Users and Customer_Name groups.
They are currently being billed as standard users. How do I set them up to be end/external users since they don't need to edit anything? I thought them being in the external users group is what did it, but perhaps not.
Hi @mattmonihan,
Welcome to Retool!
I ran across this with my first client. The easiest way I found was to remove all permissions from the default group "All Users".

Make sure you have yourself for full permissions in "Admin".
Then create a group or use your group "External Users" and give "use" permission to the Apps, Resources and Workflows needed.

Does that make sense?

Hi @mattmonihan,
Thanks for reaching out. Someone from out team will help you out via email since this is a billing question. But that's also great advice from @Shawn_Optipath as well!

Thanks @Shawn_Optipath! The solution ended up being a billing issue. I was on a legacy plan that didn't incorporate external users yet.
Thank you @AbbeyHernandez. We've got the billing issue resolved.
