Retool "Reset your Password" link

Current plan level: Business (Annual) - Online

Question / Description:

We have an embedded frame for users to access a customer portal. Everything works great unless the customer clock o the "Reset your password -> Send reset link" button. The email sent by Retool has the regular url.

What is the option to avoid this?

Thanks for reaching out! I am looking into this :thinking: It looks like we have logic to use the custom domain, if there is one, so hopefully we can sort this out or narrow down a bug. I'll follow up with any updates or clarifying questions

Just checking in here! I haven't been able to reproduce this & I haven't found other reports of this issue so it's been tricky to narrow down :thinking:

How are you embedding the page?

Hi @Tess , sorry for the delay. Vacations got everything piled up.
I think what i was hoping is not available on my plan because Retool would need to have more information.
Still, here is my "dream":

  1. I have an application that is embedded on my website (using the copy embedded code from the sharing window).
  2. I create the user in Retool
  3. Retool sends the email but the "Accept your invite" won't ever go to the website location where my application is embedded
  4. This also happens when the user is trying to login from the embedded page; Retool sends the email but the link again is not going to the website embedded application.

Probably I could do this by developing my own authentication pages but I wouldn't want to do so if Retool already provide them.

Thanks for clarifying! Yes, it sounds like Retool Events would help solve this, but it is only available on the Enterprise plan
