How to let my user use the "live" app instead of "previewing mode"?

  • Goal: how to let my user use the "live" app instead of "previewing mode"?

  • Steps: I released my app and send the url to my colleague to start using, when they click the url and go into the app, on the very top, they have the top bar which makes it look like a "internal builder version". What I want them to get is the live webapp experience, they shouldn't need the top bar with "share" and 'edit app' buttons etc. they also don't need the footer with "production" on the very left, 'debug' button on the right, etc.
How can I make it that way?

Hi @JasonYu,

Are you on Team of Free plans? If so, I'm unsure if there is a way to remove that bar.

If you are in business, then I believe admin users will always see the bar, so they should log out of their retool admin account and use an email for which no edit rights are assigned.

Thank you for the reply. I have business plan.
Assuming viewers won't see that bar but admin/editor will see the bar?

What about a customized permission group? say I will have a new group called accounting, how can I make sure the users in this group to NOT see the bar?

HI @JasonYu, welcome to Retool!

Orgs on the business plan or higher have the ability to set Permissions. As you mentioned above you can name the group "accounting" and limit their permissions to "use". Permissions can be set for resources, apps and workflows. Let me know if you have any questions or hit any speed bumps will getting those implemented.
