Retool Email Sender

I was reading through this thread about reply-to since I was noticing odd behavior of the mail sent in my workflow.

It sounds like it should be sending from something short like noreply but my mails sender looks like this:

Is there no way to get a cleaner sender of emails?

Hey @khill-fbmc - I've only tested with the Gmail web client, in which case it's significantly less obnoxious. Are you using Outlook or something similar?

While it is possible to specify a list of reply-to emails, there's not currently a way to modify the sender. Not even via Enterprise white-labeling, interestingly. If you want full control, it's probably necessary to configure a dedicated SMTP resource.

Yes, unfortunately we must use Outlook, not by my choice

I was thinking about trying the Microsoft Graph and seeing if that could send email on behalf of a user.

It's definitely worth a shot, if your org is already hooked into the MS ecosystem! And doubly so if you have experience hitting the Graph REST API. :+1:

Did you ever try out the MS Graph API, @khill-fbmc?

I have not tried to use it directly to send emails yet. I keep getting pulled all which way

Ah I get that. No worries and no rush - I just wanted to check in. :+1:

I'll go ahead and mark my above response as the "Solution", then, but don't hesitate to reach out if or when you want to revisit this.
