Public retool form sometimes doesn't load

We've seen an issue over the last few months where occasionally a public retool form will not load for our userbase.

Here's how it looks:

When a user experiences this issue we have them test on and off Wi-Fi and across multiple browsers and it usually persists for them for a few hours.

So far we've always seen the problem on a mobile device, but that may not be related. Often if they open the form on desktop from the same location it loads fine on the first try.

We are launching the form in a window from a mobile app, but for users with the issue it persists even if they open the form directly in a mobile browser.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

Here is the url in question:

We've seen this with several other users at various times lately using the same link (but with different game_id and user_id parameters).

Thank you!!

If you are able to reproduce this again, can you check the browser console for any errors/messages and share them here?

Certainly. We have never produced it in-house but will see what we can gather. It's very odd that the issue always seems to go away after a couple hours.

Still stuck on this, anyone from the community have any ideas?

Because it seems to only occur on mobile, and often it's opened in an app window, we haven't been able to ask anyone to "open browser console logs".

 Any correlation between devices that folks have seen this issue on? Is this the only app you've tested with? I tested on Chrome & Safari but no luck reproducing yet

It always happens in our app Morty and it's probably mostly Safari.

But we aren't able to reproduce it reliably. And the issue magically seems to go away after a few hours on their device. Almost like there's a weird Retool CDN issue or something that happens periodically?

Hi @andy2000 Are you linking the Retool public app within your mobile app?

I'm not aware of any known issues with public apps that would come up periodically :disappointed:

Reproducing the issue, tracking a specific error message, or narrowing down a pattern (for example, usually happens at ~9 am on Tuesdays or usually happens with a specific hash param) will be the best way to move towards a fix. We can leave this thread open in case other community members run into similar issues
