We use the social icons available (Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.) but would like to add Yelp and TikTok - those icons aren't in the library.
Is there any way to add them or to link to them so we can use those as prefix icons and whatnot?

Pretty complicated workaround for a simple idea. Hopefully the native support comes soon.
I see in that same post it's already been tied to a Feature Request.

I don't know why Retool doesn't come with Font Awesome by default.
Could we please improve the icon search. It's empirically awful.

Hi Retool team! Is there any update on this request? It's a huge blocker for us (the lack of custom icons; the search is just inconvenient) and it would be great to know if a solution is coming or if we should start finding another work around. Thanks in advance for any info!

I just checked on this internally. Priorities can change, but right now it sounds like supporting adding your own custom icons is further down the road. It is a feature we are tracking, but it may not fit into the current projects. I would suggest exploring workarounds for the time being.
That said, we have gotten a lot of requests for icons recently (adding new icons to our icon list, search-ability, styling, etc) & we are exploring whether we can ship some lower lift icon improvements in the near term

Can we just use fontawesome icons everywhere, buttons, etc not just text/html?
Why? Sorry to say this but the Retool icons are just not as good as fontawesome.
We have a pro fontawesome account and we would like to keep all our icons standard, across all our apps (not just those in Retool) but at the moment we are forced, yes forced to use the Retool icons in a lot of places.
I see many requests for this so you guys should roll this out asap across the board
