When right clicking on a number of groups to nest them into a vertical stack or a group, the children of the nested groups (the components inside that group) will not stay in that group. Trying to stack a nested group will break the layout that was set up. One needs to go in manually and then place the components back into the group. Sometimes this is pretty difficult to do with the drag and drop interface since there is no way to tab through selections. What does seem to work is to cut and paste into or paste below. Sometimes paste below in a vertical stack will actually paste above. In general the experience of working with the ui and trying to position elements is painfull. Iβm spending a lot of time trying to get the ui right and its erroding the saving I was trying to get by moving to a out of the box solution. If I canβt use basic features like groups or stacks to position elements then I might as well do this by hand with code which is much more reliable.
Hey @benjaminfortunato, thanks for writing in again! It sounds like the "group" functionality isn't working as expected. It's hard to know exactly what's going on without a screen recording or a JSON export of the relevant app, could you provide one or both so I can investigate? As mentioned in the other thread, the best option would be to join Office Hours next Tuesday or Thursday. Component questions like this are really best to debug live! ![]()
I will sign up for that and try to prepare a page for an example.
Yes please you can sign up here! Join Office Hours for tomorrow (Tuesday) 2pm EST, see you then! ![]()
