Seeking UI Design Inspiration and Tips for Retool App (Beginner)

Hello retool community! Beginner app builder here!

Goal:

I’m trying to create a visually appealing and user-friendly app with Retool. My goal is to improve the design of my app, specifically the forms and homepage, so they look more cohesive and dynamic.

Steps: :mag:

  • I’ve built tabbed containers with 5 sequential forms on each tab, but the design feels empty, and the forms don’t fill the entire page. The forms are connected to different database tables, and since they vary in length, it looks uneven and disconnected.
  • The home page currently has a table in the middle with filters, but I feel it could be more dynamic and user-friendly.
  • I’m looking for UI best practices, templates, and resources to improve my app’s visual appeal and flow. I’m also open to trying other components to improve the design.

Details: :hammer_and_wrench:

  • I’m using tabbed containers, forms, and a table component.
  • The forms are connected to different DB tables, which vary in length.
  • I’m a beginner with Retool and still figuring things out, so any advice or resources would be super helpful!

I all depends on what you want to do. So I would say just search the forum and read through the docs as well.
