Public app not showing photos from storage

I'm trying to showcase the profile pictures of our staff on a public app. However, while it works internally...

It does NOT show the photos when used as a public app, even while waiting for a long time for it to load:

I feel this must be something permission wise about using these kinds of storage query. Any help on why this might be happening? Inspecting the console reveals there's a 404 error.

Hi all, We don't support Retool storage in components in public apps, but our team is currently working on this! You should be able to create and use Retool storage queries in public apps, so you can work around the storage bug by querying storage objects on components directly.
