Question / Description:
I found a similar discussion -> All Users group not having access to custom resource (REST API)
I have the same problem but this time this is on-prem deployment. All custom resources created are, by default, not accessible by All User group. They are disabled by default.
Since this is an on-prem deployment, I just wonder if there is any on-prem configuration which we can enable to allow All User to get access to custom resources.
If this is not possible by free plan on-prem design, does this mean promoting All Users" to "Admin" is the only option?
Appreciate you for reporting this! This is a known issue that affects Free plan instances (both Cloud and on-prem). It is caused by a recent change to how default permissions are applied to the All Users group for newly created resources. I see that thereβs an open ticket tracking this, but unfortunately no timeline on when this will get picked up. In the meantime, there are a couple of potential workarounds:
1. Promote users to Admin as you mentioned. This gives full access but removes any access boundaries.
2. If you are open to it, you could try upgrading to a Business plan (even temporarily), which would unlock the permissions UI and allow you to configure resource access for the All Users group. Once set, the permissions should persist.
I understand neither option is ideal, but I hope it at least unblocks you for now. Iβll be sure to update this thread when there are any updates!
