Make Tab Bar Navigation to actually navigate to its intended page instead of previously opened sub-pages

  1. My goal: Make Tab Bar Navigation to actually navigate to its intended page
  2. Issue: Tab Bar Navigation goes to “sub page” if previously left at that page
  3. Steps I've taken to troubleshoot: I cannot find a settings to specifically make tab bar go to it’s intended page
  4. Additional info: Cloud

What i’m trying to do

  1. From “Home” go into one of it’s “sub pages”
  2. from there, go to another page in the Tab Bar (“Add Farmer“)
  3. then return to ”Home” page through the Tab Bar
  4. Expected: go to the actual “Home“ page
  5. What Happened: it returns to previously opened “sub pages” of “Home”
  6. need to press “Home“ again in the Tab Bar to actually go into the real “Home“ page

another weird behaviour is the top left button changes from the "app tray" or "burger" button to back button if navigated to from "Navigate to Screen" action

Hi @Asary_Anhairi,

Thank you for reporting this, I can file a bug report to our mobile engineering team.

So to clarify for the Navigation, you want to go from "Home" down into "DisbursedItems", then when you move laterally over to "Add Farmer" you want to go to the top level of "Home" and not back into "DisbursedItems", correct?

@Jack_T correct, yes

Thank you for the clarification.

I believe this is expected behavior and not a bug, with the app saving the previously visited sub-pages.

I can make a feature request for having a check box to toggle if the navigation should use cached page history or always revert to the top level from the bottom navigator :+1:
