Make *editing* your app the default click behavior

From the Retool dashboard, whenever I want to edit my app, I keep clicking on the row. Instead, I should be clicking on the "Edit" button. I don't know about you, but I would argue the edit action should be the default, rather than viewing the app.

Allowing users to configure this would be even better, but more work to implement. On the other hand, remembering user's intent based on their past actions could work... possibly?

Anyway, would love to hear what y'all think - and whether it's just me experiencing this.

This could potentially impact the billing for customers on the Team plan, where user permissions aren’t configurable. If end-users make edits they are considered standard users, and their seat cost increases from $5 to $10/mo per user. That's the reason behind linking to the published version of the app instead of the editor. But remembering user's intent based on their past actions could be a viable solution. :slightly_smiling_face:

I see, well then in that case I would expect regular users to not have the ability to make unauthorized edits. This seems like a different issue to me. I think admins should have the option to limit the authorized actions for additional users, i.e. whether they can view and/or edit a page, and then accommodate for the UI accordingly.

To be honest, the issue I was experiencing and describing originally was primarily a quality of life-improvement.
