Issue logging into Retool with my Google account

Version of Retool (cloud)

I’m having trouble accessing Retool with my Google account (xxxx@gmail.com). I used to be able to log in without any issues using my email and password, but now I’m getting this error:

"This account does not support login via email and password. Please use an alternate login method."

My account is a personal Google account (not a company one) and it always worked before. I wanted to ask if there have been any recent changes to the platform’s authentication settings (for example, if Google login was turned off or if you migrated to a different sign-in method) that could be causing my account to no longer work.

Could you let me know if there’s an alternative login method I should use now, or if it’s possible to re-enable access with Google?

For others reading this thread: Based on the error that you received it may be worth trying the "Sign in with Google" button rather than regular email/password:

In the future, if you encounter another account-related issue, I recommend contacting Retool Support so they can look up your information and specific account to see what could be affecting your ability to login :slight_smile:
