How to edit query without navigating to the page its on?

I'm currently stuck in a situation where a broken query kicks me off the page its on, so I can't edit it, as trying to open the query (either by navigating to the page, selecting the page in the queries side menu, or even opening it through global search) will also navigate the page, which in turn triggers the query, which kicks me off the page, making it impossible to edit the query to fix it.

It doesn't seem like there's a switch in the editor to disable or pause queries, so my only option seems to be to use the revision history. This seems like really bad design. Am I missing something?

Thanks.

(I can't edit my post?)

Actually, even version history can't save me - it doesn't go back far enough to revert the broken query. wtf do i do?

I also tried using _historyOffest (like this https://xyz.retool.com/editor/[UUID]/Dashboard%20Mockup/page1?_historyOffset=20) but that also did nothing

What else can I do?

I have to add more content because this post is too similar to my recent post? Please just let me post it wtf

Hi @NathanTew,

Is the query in question linked to the Retool DB as a resource? If so, I would go into the Database tab, find your table, and change the table name temporarily. This should break your query and allow you to make the necessary adjustments.

Let me know if this helps.
