Hi @paulo, is something broken in retool external app permission? all of a sudden external users are not getting redirected to the default external app that they use to see, instead they are seeing retool landing page. I have checked all the permissions and nothing is off?
Something is definitely broken, external users aren't redirected to the landing page and are seeing retool landing page.

no @Darren, this is different issue. even though the external users are getting redirected to default app now, the behaviors has changed in the last 2 days. there is an interim screen of retool landing page for a few miliseconds before they get redirected. This need to be looked seriously. The external user experience is no longer the same and it is take more 15 seconds for default app to get redirected to.
Can you clarify the behavior that you're seeing, @Ashish_Agarwal? Are users sitting on the home page for an extended period of time before being redirected or is it just a few milliseconds?
External users have always been taken through a series of redirects, so I don't think anything there has changed. The issue I previously references was breaking this flow, but has since been fixed.
Welcome to the community, @Ignacio_Galdos! Can you provide any additional context? I'm guessing that your external users are logging into Retool but not being redirected to the specified landing page. If you haven't already done so, I definitely recommend double checking your org settings.
@darren Please check the image. It is happening again today. The external users are sitting on the base URL and not getting redirected to the default app assigned for them. This is becoming a big issue for us. Please look into this immediately
@Darren I am having this exact issue. This is really impacting my app as well, with multiple external users getting routed to a screen they have never seen.

I am definitely doing both of these things. Not only are the external users not being redirected to their landing page, the intercom integration is no longer working for external users as well. Not sure if they are related but these two issues started at the same time.
@Darren request you to kindly look into this immediately and respond. Could not afford external users to continue to land nowhere.
Hey @Ashish_Agarwal and @Ignacio_Galdos - I'm responding here but did see that you both posted elsewhere, as well. I've done some initial digging based on your reports of external users not being redirected, but haven't yet been able to reproduce the same behavior.
Can you check the browser console to see if there are any relevant error messages?
@Darren it is still happening on our app. Further attaching the screenshot of an account i have as an external user, it is showing role as Editor while i clearly have this user only as an External User.
In addition, there is an error coming in the browser console but i am not sure what it means
I don't think the console error that you're seeing is particularly relevant, but can you share a screenshot of the user's assigned permission groups?

Yes, i have now kept exactly same permissions in both the groups. Tried to toggle between keeping default landing app for All User and not have, but the external user is still landing on base URL instead of redirection. Also, this was all working correctly till day before yesterday. Something broke yesterday.
It broke last month as well when i reached out on the forum and then it again started working correctly. We are planning to scale and to have hundreds of external users log in everyday. It is impossible for us to scale if this problem keep on happening every month. Also, it is not always possible to check when it is happening. @Darren request you to kindly fix it permanently.
The last time something like this happened, there was a clear root cause with a much broader impact that has since been addressed. Itβs currently unclear why you are once again seeing something similar, but Iβll continue digging and give you an update as soon as I can.
