Although my proposal originates from the event handler within the query builder, it can easily be extended to other event handler cases as well.
To illustrate my point, refer to the screenshot below:
Looking at this, you might grasp the general idea of what I’m trying to achieve, though it may require a bit of 'mental gymnastics.' Don’t get me wrong—the UI offers detailed, concrete building blocks and is quite descriptive of the implementation model.
My suggestion is to add an additional field for "Description" or "Comments." This field could be used to replace the label displayed in the list of Event Handlers. For example, in my case, I would describe it as: "Set the first result if there is only one." This approach immediately conveys the handler's intent without needing to open and examine each handler individually.
As someone with experience in full-stack development, I'm accustomed to using comments to explain code. While Retool is generally self-explanatory, I believe there are scenarios where it could benefit from clearer documentation—or rather, concise comments that provide context from the developer’s perspective.
P.s. I could imagine this setting to be considered 'clutter' by some, so perhaps it would be nice if this was an Advanced feature that can be toggled on or off.
