Retool falls behind other platforms when it comes to testing different user persona views. When building an app with multiple user roles, I want an easy way to preview the app as a specific persona.
Of course, this isn’t as simple as just switching the current user—security constraints make it much more complex. But having a built-in way to test different user experiences would be invaluable, especially for large organizations troubleshooting permission issues or ensuring external users see the right interface.
This is a feature that would have a ton of internal utility, as well, and is something that I've personally advocated for. We've done some initial scoping work but haven't committed to anything beyond that just yet. As soon as that changes, though, I'll provide an update here!
@Darren I understand this feature has been requested a few times already but wanted to give a huge +1 on this as it is a major blocker for us to be able to test views that are based on user permissions.
