I have an app that runs every hour and sync's data between a database and Hubspot. Up until around two weeks ago it took 10-35 minutes to run when it was in the background. Now it won't complete within the hour unless it is the focused tab.
This seems to be an issue with Chrome changing how they prioritise background tabs.
Is there anything the retool may have changed to impact the performance?
A bit more data:
Running the whole app start to finish in focus took 5 minutes
In the background took 107 minutes
The issue started on 16/17 June depending on your timezone.
I moved the app to run in firefox. Firefox seems to work ok so it is likely a chrome change.
This seems to be connected to something on Chrome's end, as you've noticed! It could be related to this here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18_sX-KGRaHcV3xe5Xk_l6NNwXoxm-23IOepgMx4OlE4/pub
