Visual components no longer respecting theme colours

We have been using retool to build our internal analytics had noticed 2 changes that have impacted us.

Issue 1 - Max width
Max width was reduced to 1200px (manually reverted) - see topic here, this was manually reverted.

Issue 2 - themes no longer respected

All of our graphs, buttons and tables were respecting our colour scheme (set by brand and manually) to our colour scheme, something seems to have broken

We would have to apply themes and colours manually back to hundreds of graphs, and we can’t find any indication of change on our side causing this.

Is this a known issue - seems to have happened at the same time as the max-width change.

We also have the same issue. Having to change back the button colours as well as the graphs would be extremely bothersome unfortunately.

Hey all - thanks for reaching out. :slightly_smiling_face:

The issue with max width should now be resolved with the release of version 3.288.0, but I don't specifically see a reason for a regression with app theming. We did get one similar report, but they reported that everything is now back to normal. Can you confirm that themes are still not being respected?

Hey @Darren ,

Unfortunately, issue 2 persists. I’ve taken a screenshot here, but that is being done to all of their graphs across the app.

I’ve attached two screenshots - the dark green is what all the graphs used to represent, but only two graphs now retain this.

Now all of our graphs are showing as some kind of default theme (see blue graph), which is affecting around 40-50 other charts in the app

Hoping that this can be reverted, as it’s a lot of manual work to go back - and also want to make sure it won’t happen again before we invest

My solution was to revert the App theme back to its initial state and change the colours again.
I took a picture and entered them manually.
I know its not very elegant but it did work for me.

Are you able to send me a JSON export of your app, @Nathan_Hall? It would be a big help for debugging purposes!

Just checking, @Nathan_Hall - have you had a chance to revisit this?
