URGENT - UI unresponsive after 5 minutes and slowness

Hi team,

We are facing an urgent ongoing issue where the almost all UI elements (buttons, tabs, etc.) become completely unresponsive after about 5 minutes of app use. They can be clicked and there is some sort of feedback, but no logic is performed.

The editor is also not working properly. Adding and manipulating UI elements in the editor is nearly impossible as the editor does not register when a new element is dragged onto the page, or when an element's height or width is changed.

On top of this, we are facing sluggishness across the board. Apps, queries, workflows and other resources are loading much slower than usual. This has been happening since Friday 18th June and it appeared completely out of the blue.

Can someone shed some light on what is happening and provide any solutions? Thanks in advance :grin:

Thanks for flagging this issue! It doesn't sound like any known issues we're currently working on, but we definitely want to investigate. Could you share some app json exports with me?

Also, just to double check the timeline, it started this past Friday?

Yes we noticed the issue on Friday 18th July at 9am AEST, however it's possible it started beforehand. Apologies - I did say June in my original post but I meant July.

Here are some app JSONs where we have noticed issues, though keep in mind these issues affect ALL apps so it must global.

has there been any movement here? Am experiencing something eerily similar

  • First noticed on friday
  • UI is unresponsive after letting it sit for ~2 minutes
  • query loading times vary drastically but generally very slow (300% runtime)

Yes, @jamierossiter's app jsons have been helpful. Our on-call engineers are looking into this currently

@DavidD, what org are you seeing this issue on?

@jamierossiter our team was rolling out a new feature that may have contributed to the issues you're seeing. I disabled the feature in your org. Are you still seeing these issues?

I've also noticed that some apps have been running quite sluggishly recently. Starting around July 18, 2025, 18:00 (UTC+8), after entering an app, some components haven't been functioning at all. Similar issues are still occurring as of today, July 23rd. Many JavaScript elements within the app aren't initiating, clicking components yields no response, and even "save changes" on tables just keeps loading indefinitely.

My current workaround is to enter the app in edit mode and click "Reset App State," which significantly improves performance.

You should be all set!

I just turned off the Feature Flag for the org associated with your profile. Let us know if there is a different org!

Hey yall! We actually disabled the feature for all cloud orgs, so everyone should be all set! Thanks for your patience! :pray:

Thanks, everyone for your reports! I marked Jay's answer as a solution since this specific issue shouldn't be happening anymore. Our on call engineers will still investigate the disabled feature to prevent issues like this in the future.
