Since a few days I am constantly having problems with retool (cloud). Whenever I am workind in edit mode my panels randomly go to the āsomething went wrongā message. Sometimes refreshing the page works but a few clicks later it is back or another panel gives the āsomething went wrongā message. As in the examples below it is with different panels (left and right)
I tried different browsers, incognito mode, deleting cookies & local data - nothing seems to work.
I have the feeling problems started when I tried the AI feature to tidy up styling but that just might be coincidence. Anyone an idea on how to get rid of this issue?
Hey @jberden good to see you back in the Community forum, it's been awhile! Thanks for reporting this, I havenāt come across this issue yet. If you revert or remove the AI-generated styles, does the issue go away? Also, can you share the Assist prompt you used when you generated the styling?
Hey, thank you for reaching out. I donāt know how but after a few days the problem seemed to be solved? But today (few days later) I got the problem back. It started after duplicating a page which uses componts and custom modules. So I am thinking now ,it has nothing to do with the AI generated styles. When I deleted the duplicated page the errors stayed. But when I reverted back to a version before I duplicated the page everything works back to normal.
Maybe worth mentioning is that when I originally started to have the problem (styles) and now today again (duplicating page), the action i did in retool took a lot of time to complete - seems like retool froze for a while (like 5-10seconds).
Hey @jberden thanks for sharing! Since you mentioned video calls, Iād actually recommend joining us for Office Hours so we can help you out live. We have an upcoming Office Hours session today Nov 18 at 2pm EST where you can chat with the Retool team and other developers in real time. We host these twice a week, so feel free to drop by anytime.
Hey @jberden, everything should be working now for your Instrument List module. Our engineering team found an issue in a few parts of the appās configuration that was causing the crashes. They went ahead and corrected those fields and the app is loading as expected again. I have sent the details to you via dm.
