Sidebar is randomly shrinking on bigger monitors but works fine of laptop screen.
Also, it happens when we set some custom width for the side frame. The problem doesn't occur when we set some default size (small, large, medium).
Steps to reproduce:
- Make an app with two pages.
- The non-homepage should have one sideframe with custom width.
- Send the link of the non-homepage to somebody and open it using the link on a big monitor screen.
And more weirdly, when I detach and reattach my monitor screen, this gets fixed itself!
Hey @engineering-tajir, thanks for reporting this! I checked internally and we haven’t come across a bug like this yet. Just to clarify, are you still seeing the shrinking sidebar, or is it completely fixed after detaching and reattaching the monitor? ![]()
Hi, ChiEn. It gets fixed by using this detaching and reattaching hack, but it happens every time I click the link.
@engineering-tajir That’s odd. I have a few questions to help me investigate this:
- Which browser and operating system are you using when you see the sidebar shrinking? Does it happen in all browsers?
- Does the issue still happen in an incognito or private window, or after clearing your browser cache?
- What custom width are you setting for the sidebar?
- Do you see any errors or warnings in the browser developer console when the sidebar shrinks?
- What is the size and resolution of the monitor where you’re seeing the sidebar issue?
Also, if you could send me an export of this app, that would be very helpful! ![]()
