Queries from query library missing

I am developing my app in Retool, and I had certain queries imported from my query library, where some parameters were already configured. I have protected the app, and now I can't access those queries.

I get this message: 'Looks like this query was deleted' in all my querys, but they are not. Maybe is a permission issue.

Hello. We ran into this problem recently.

This strikes us as a bug in custom permission groups, because the query in the app reverts to its normal editable state if the user is set to Editor/Admin.

However, while in a custom group and regardless of what option is chosen in the query library selector in the "advanced" tab, the query will stay in this "zombie" state, in which it can be launched with the previous params but they will not be presented in the UI. The message is also seemingly missleading (the query does exist in the library as a shared query, and the user has access to it and the related resource). It was simply protected.

This is not trivial because it forces us to grant the editor access level to developers that would typically have access only to a specific set of apps/resources.

Hi folks,

Apologies for the delay here; a couple of follow up questions -

Are you trying to access the Query Library query in another instance of Retool? In addition to protecting the app, did you also protect the query in the Query Library? If not, I would try protecting the query as well.

I wasn't able to track down account info for either of you based on your email in the forum  Could you share the Retool version # you're using if you aren't on Cloud?
