Question / Description:
Question about the new Pricing plans,
Does the different between new and old Team pricing plan only on pricing?
Does it has any UI different?
Does it has any functional different other than user access levels?
Between our legacy plans (pre-2023) and our current plans, the only difference is the pricing. You should have the same UI and other features that are available to you on the Team plan.
If you haven't checked it out already, our Pricing page shows the breakdown of our current pricing and the plan features!
If you have any other questions that is specific to your org, you can reach out to Retool Support who will take a look in our system and help you out
Just would like to confirm before we move on with the new pricing subscription.
If we switched,
Our users will be automatically transferred with Builders access, and we can start change their account type to Internal Users manually, correct?
And from the userβs experience, they wonβt feel any different. correct?
Just to clarify with you - users are not automatically transferred with Builder access.
"Builder" and "Internal user" user types are not manually-assigned account types. They are automatically calculated each billing cycle based on the user's activity.
So, a user is counted as a "Builder" if they built or edited an app/workflow for that cycle. Otherwise if that user did not edit or build an app/workflow during that cycle, they're counted as an "Internal user" automatically (at the lower rate).
The only way to enforce someone into "Internal user" billing (i.e., block them from building apps/workflows) is with permission group settings, which is only available on the Business plan, not Team plan.
For your 2nd question, yes, the users should not feel any difference. The permissions, UI, and app access should stay the same for them. Only the billing calculation is different
What is an user that is not active? let say no activity in the whole pass month, Will their account be switched to Disable automatically and didnβt get billed? or they will still be assigned to Internal user type and still bing billed?
In this situation, an Admin would need to go to Settings > Users list and manually disable that account if you do not want that user to count towards your next billing cycle.
We charge based on enabled users and their activity, so if that user does not made any edits during the billing cycle they are still counted as an "Internal user". We do not charge for disabled user accounts.
For example: if User A is enabled on your "Users" list, but had zero activity during your billing cycle July 1 to 31, they are still charged as an "Internal user" on your July 31 invoice. However, if you disable User A sometime between July 1-31, you will still be charged for July 31 invoice but not for the August 31 invoice and beyond. You will start to be charged again when you re-enable that account.
