This is making it very hard to edit params, because I can't see what I'm doing. I have to edit in my editor and them past e in.
+1, I have also experienced this before and it is very annoying!
That's certainly not ideal. Thanks for posting, @Chad_Fennell! 
You're definitely not the only user to run into issues with tooltips - as evidenced by @jamesg31 - and we actually have a fix coming out on Cloud later this week. It's not perfect but you'll be able to close the tooltip with the "Escape" key.
If that goes well, I anticipate a similar fix getting rolled out for On-Prem via an upcoming release. We'll continue to monitor any and all feedback on tooltip placement and hopefully come up with a long-term solution!
