I am working with Workflow to generate and output emails.
I have been previewing the emails by waiting for them to come back through my email client (Outlook). The problem is it can take for 1 to 6 minutes for the generated emails to come back to my Outlook in basket.
There is a “Preview” feature in the Body of the Loop Block for generating the emails. This seems to be an answer to the problem of late responses to the email client.
But when I try to use this I get an empty frame. (See graphic below)
Has anyone figured this out?
I went ahead and looked into this by trying to reproduce it on my own. It appears you have identified a bug in Retool for using loop and email together in a Workflow.
I was able to reproduce it. It looks like its exclusive to using the Retool Email in the loop runner. The only way I was able to get past it was generating a new Workflow, which isn't really a workaround, in my opinion.
I file a bug on this with the team. I am hoping it gets resolved sometime soon. I will ping back in this thread whenever that day does come as I am the bug filer and linked to this post on there as a reminder to come back.
Let me know if you notice any other weird behavior with this particular feature. I can add notes to the bug report at any time.
