Sorry for the inconvenience. That is an odd bug. I can try to reproduce it and see if I can get it to work or if I need to file a bug report.
What type of email resource are you using? It looks like from the green F you are inside a function block, are you using Retool Email or did you set up another email resource such as SMTP?
My guess is the function might be the reason for the preview not appearing. Just need to double check once you let me know what type of email resource you are using in the function block.
As I tested out a non-function email block and both worked as intended
