Goal: Again, it happened each 2 weeks. All resourses not working , apps super slow, even forum and platform home page extremly slow loading. Why we have to pay money for your service and didn
t recieve it properly. Why you don
t do anything with this issue which happens each 2 weeks ? -

Hey folks, thanks for raising this!
I'm not seeing any performance issues on my side on cloud, on multiple different domains. I'm wondering if this is related to a latency issue we see a couple of times a year, and we've been investigating spinning up some infra in EU to remedy this. In order to dig into this further on our side:
Would you folks please share your results from this doc (in DMs), and I'll pass it over to the engineering team.
Cheers!
Isaac
Also, importantly, does a VPN to the US help with any of the issues you're seeing?
I suspect it's only affecting certain ISPs, or we'd see a lot more reports from folks about this.
Seems latency may have improved since we're seeing no further reports in the last couple of hours. This would usually indicate an issue with ISPs as I suspect, since in this time, Retool has not changed any code during this time, and I was not seeing any issues on multiple different VPNs and my own internet.
I did see some backend latency on mysql and mssql resources though, and some issues with outbound regions on resources, but that wouldn't affect platform slowness (and may be a side effect of our monitoring processes if users are having connectivity issues) perhaps due to some international or regional infrastructure issue (e.g a broken undersea cable)
But I'm just speculating here, I've raised an incident with engineering to look into the root cause here to make sure it's not a Retool issue that we can fix.
If anyone was able to grab those har files as per above during the latency period, it would be super helpful to help us investigate the root cause here.
Cheers,
Isaac
Does Retool specifically slow down its platform for late payments?
Does Retool specifically slow down its platform for late payments?
Hey Vlad, no we would never do this, as it would be a terrible customer experience and would mean taking engineers away from much more important work!
If you didn't pay your bill, you would just be eventually downgraded to the free plan
