Hi @njgage,
I've set up the links between the mobile app, and they appear to be working reliably without breaking. If you encounter any issues again, you can also try using the Navigation Event Handler, which should work effectively.
If the problem persists, could you please provide more details about the issue, such as additional screenshots or specific steps to reproduce it?
Hi,
I've used the same method you are showing in your screenshot. But when I click to navigate it get the error page.

Hi @njgage,
Could you please check the folder where your mobile app is saved? Based on the screenshot, I believe the app is currently saved in the Draft folder.
When an app is saved in the Draft folder, it does not appear under the Event Handler > Navigation section.

As shown in the screenshot below, when an app is saved in the Draft folder, it doesn’t appear in the Event Handler navigation list
To resolve this, you may want to move the app to the Public folder
Let me know if you'd like any help with this—happy to assist!
Why do you think it may be saved as draft? I can see all my apps in the dropdown as you can see in the screenshot.. i've just blanked out part of the text but the one I'm hovering over is the one I'm trying to link to (and gives the error).
I just checked and non of my mobile apps are draft - all appear under published.
The link was working fine for the last 6 months. It just broke in the last day.
I've worked out the issue. We moved the folder that contained the mobile apps:
Originally
Folder X > App
Moved to:
Folder Y > Folder X > App
We nested the folder and then the links break. There seems to be some caching issue that means the updated path is not accessible.
We have currently fixed it by moving the folder back to it's original location but can this be resolved please.
Hi @njgage,
I tried following your folder structure: Folder Y > Folder X > App, but it seems like it's not working as expected. Apologies that my earlier solution didn’t help.
Could you please double-check the App URL you’re using for navigation? It might be broken. I used the "Open URL" event handler on a button and simply pasted the app link — it worked perfectly on my end.
As shown in the screenshot below, this method works perfectly when configured properly:
Hello Retool Team @Jack_T , @Tess ,
I've tried using a folder structure similar to @njgage’s setup: Folder Y > Folder X > App. When I access the app directly using the URL (by copying and pasting it), it works perfectly.
However, when I attempt to navigate to the app using a navigation event handler, it doesn’t work as expected. I've tested the navigation event handler, but it's not functioning properly.
I've attached a screenshot and video for your reference. Could you please take a look and advise on what might be causing the issue?
Thank you!
1.) open URL Event Handler:
2.) Navigation Event Handler:
Hi all, I went ahead and marked a solution to the original problem. I also was able to reproduce this bug, and submitted a bug report.
Until it is resolved, if you have nested folders I recommend using the direct URL as @WidleStudioLLP suggested.
