When you provide a value with the wrong data type, our database returns a rather general error, without pointing out exactly which column is related.
I realize this may be out of scope for Retool, but I think there should be some way or method to quickly see if there are any values being passed to a query that seem out of the ordinary. For example: if a string is provided to a boolean column, then perhaps the value field can be marked (e.g. orange with a tooltip warning).
I think this can be mitigated from within Retool, at least on the surface level. Curious to what y'all think.
I'm not sure yet if it is within the scope or something we'd have room for in our roadmap, but I will submit a request for this feature!
You're certainly not alone in the request for empty state to be null! Right now, we're tracking these requests per component. Transparently, it's not something that the components team has prioritized for the near future, but I will share your feedback with them!
