I cannot get new components to show up in my custom CSS

I am an admin for this app, but when I add components to the canvas they show up in the canvas but not in the CSS. Any idea why that would be happening?

Not in the CSS? Each component gets its own ID I believe so every time you add a new one, you would have to add it to your custom CSS
