How do you use the SendGrid integration to automatically trigger dynamic content emails?

Tried to build the SendGrid integration described in this ReTool blog post but the JS query doesn't run successfully and I cannot get it to work.

Trying to figure out step-by-step how to automatically trigger a dynamic template email in SendGrid via ReTool but any documentation only seems to vague or non-existent. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

PS: not an engineer so problems also likely exist between keyboard and chair

I had a bear of a time getting SendGrid to work - the API is so complex and finicky!

I switched to Mailgun and have templates working great there.
