Another UI Idea - I have added a custom button to the footer to reset to default filters. I think if default filters exist on the table, it would be really nice to have an added button in the table "set filters" UI to reset to defaults.

This is absolutely necessary!
We have some default filters that should always remain, but want users to be able to add other filters...
I would say that instead of the red 'Clear filters' text as the option on the UI, that we have a choice for that to be either Clear filters OR Reset filters.
In addition, it would be great to hide default filters from the UI.
So, in @Glen_Keane 's example, if Metadata is empty is a default filter - then when you open the UI, that should not even appear as an option to edit or remove.
