This is an off the cuff request...
I really like the new charts and have a workflow that utilizes an api to generate a report that's converted to csv and emailed. It think it would be pretty cool to have Chart block that would return a png or some other datatype that I could pass along to my email api. I haven't really thought through this much... if anyone has suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Haven’t tried it, but apparently https://api.plot.ly/v2/images can send a PNG back as part of a REST API.
Hello! There's another layer to this request which is allowing an image export from the chart component. I found an existing internal FR for it and I added the +1s.
On the meantime, please let us know if you were able to solve this with the plotly API. This could unblock many users!
On the other hand, I created the internal request to support Charts in Workflows and we'll update you here with any news!
