Hi! I have recently discovered a bug when modifying table default filters via the Table component UI on the right.
When there are already numerous default filters in table component, if you add a new default filter column, the entire order of the filters would change dramatically and the CURRENT EDITING FILTER COLUMN WINDOW WOULD BE SWITCHED TO ANOTHER COLUMN !!
This is a huge issue because the column linked with the filter will be changed during this weird auto-reordering. And thus it is not possible to edit in that filter column window anymore until you find the correct column name in the re-ordered default filter list.
[Update: this bug has been solved, pls close this ticket, thanks!]
Thanks for reporting this, @SabrinaW and @torbos. This isn't a new issue, unfortunately, so we already have an internal conversation going. I'll update that ticket with this additional context and see if I can push up the timeline for implementing a fix!
As soon as I have additional news to share, I'll provide an update here.
UPDATE: This should be fixed now, but please let us know if you notice anything similar in the future.
It seems fixed. The filters aren't jumping around anymore. Thank you so much.
I had to replace all the filters which where affected because it seemed not only the list changed constantly visually. The data rows behind the filtersettings seemed mixed as well and didn't line up anymore so the filters behaved unexpectantly.
Bugs can happen and overall I'm happy with Retool and all the possibilities.
