Bug: Cannot see the schemas for my database in the Query Library

  • Goal: See the schemas for my database in the Query Library tool.

In the past, I could see the schemas of my databases on the right side of the Query Library. Now, there the schema component is empty. I am still able to see the schema in other areas of Retool. For example when I am adding SQL queries to a dashboard.

I have the same problem. Here are the notes I compiled.

The schema preview for our AWS RDS instance is no longer fully working. It doesn't show any tables. This behavior began since last the week or two.

I tried this on a Mac desktop on the latest Firefox, Chrome in incognito mode.

Chrome is up to date
Version 128.0.6613.138 (Official Build) (arm64)

I clicked the schema refresh button. It disappears for a second and then reappears, but no tables are shown.

The schema search bar seems to check against table names, but it doesn't show any results. For example, we have a table called client_documents but no table called client_du... When I type client_d there is no error.

As soon as I type the letter u, I see an error.

The javascript console shows some 404 errors. Not sure if that is relevant:

I tested the database connections in under retool→resources, and they are good in our dev, test and prod environments.

I can run queries against the database in the Query Library and get good results. In the query editor, table name suggestions do appear.

We only have 36 tables in our database, so it is not the number of tables.

Hi all! Thanks for flagging this so quickly. We have identified the issue here and rolled out a fix that should now be live on cloud. :+1:

Looks fixed to me! Thank you so much for quick turn around.
