It would be cool if there was a weather component that showed a quick view of the current temperature and weather for the selected day, defaulted to today.

Okay yeah that is possible for me to make my own component, and I am happy to do so, but I just thought I would mention that having a fully built out component on your end might be cool as well. Certainly not urgent haha.
