Upgrades to Mapbox map

Right now, the Mapbox map on Retool is very primitive. Taking a look at the mapbox site reveals just how much cool stuff is missing right now:

  • Satellite and hybrid view
  • Map styling
  • 3D buildings (some even custom modeled)
  • Interactability
    • Region charts
    • Heat maps
    • Numerous other types of data visualization

Of course this is possible using custom components, but seeing as Mapbox is already implemented, it would be amazing if we can get these features natively.

This could allow maps to take the spotlight in our apps, showing 3D buildings, routes for delivery to a person, 3D hexbins.

(P.s. Mapbox on Retool Mobile seems to have 3d and some customization features already)

There are definitely a ton of cool features that we'd like to support in v2 of this component. We often run a closed beta for new components and I'll keep you in mind for this one, if you're interested! Regardless, I'll add your comment to our internal tracking system and provide an update here as soon as I can. :+1:
