  • Goal: I would like to integrate numeric badge to images, icons in to my app.

  • Details: As I imagine it it's an optional addon like a tool-tip

I remember already seeing this feature request in the past, but I can't seem to find it. In any case, I agree this would he super helpful and pretty market standard

Thanks for the feedback! I found an existing internal feature request for this, so I added your input to help the team prioritize it. Unfortunately there isn't a timeline that I can give you, but we'll follow up on this thread if there is any movement.

I did find this thread from a couple weeks ago where Paulo provided a possible workaround, if you're interested: Badge on icon in mobile app - #2 by Paulo. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe it will help in the meantime.

Thank you, for the suggestion, Polly.

But this time I doubt there is a workaround that would work this time.
I was already smacked on the nose on one of the design reviews for making users relearn basic functionality with all the workaround.

I will need users to perceive it as a numeric badge this time, so I'm happy to wait the feature request to go through. Thank you for bumping the priority on it.

Thanks for checking on this (and for bringing it up in office hours). I definitely agree that this would be a helpful component. Unfortunately, it hasn't made it on to our roadmap yet :disappointed_face:

I know it's not ideal, but the closest workaround I can think of is a custom component
