I am wondering if anyone has set up some form of email tracking? Currently, I am sending emails via a Gmail resource (https://gmail.googleapis.com).
Hi @Shawn_Optipath, to my knowledge, unless the gmail API offers email tracking (after a quick search it looks like it doesn't offer a way to request read receipts through the API), I'm not sure if there's a reliable way to track this. There may be some third party services that offer this, but again I've read that it's unreliable, as the email clients themselves can either inflate or deflate those numbers.
Bumping this post regardless in case someone has had success with it.
Hi @Mike_M , thanks for letting me know. For now, it's a nice to have with the client but we're thinking of integrating Sendgrid which would provide tracking.

Nylas has this option and the APi is super friendly. I developped a custom component that helps you with authentication (as it is not possible to set up authentication with retool resources). Shoot me a message via Slack if you're interested!
