Retool mobile app push notification not showing content on Android

I’ve noticed an issue with push notifications in the Retool Mobile app on Android, I'm using a Samsung S23. When a notification arrives, even after expanding it, only the first line of the message is displayed.

I double-checked a few things:

  • On iOS, the same notification shows the full message body correctly.
  • On Android, I enabled expanded view, but the notification is still truncated.
  • I verified using Android’s notification history that the full message payload is being delivered, so the truncation seems to happen in the way the Android app renders notifications.

Some screenshots of what I see when the notificiation arrives and I expand it, and then what I see in the notification history which is the full message and also what I see on iOS.

Is this a bug / limitation? Or is there something I can change so it displays the push notification properly as all my other notifications for other apps all expland correctly.

I raised a breakage ticket and this has been confirmed by Retool as a bug.
