The live public standalone Retool form is redirecting to the login page. After attempting to log in, I receive a "Page Not Found" error.
I also tried accessing the form directly from the editor and encountered the same issue.

@jmann Noticed the same issue occurred a couple of months ago โretool-form-public-link-requires-login
I am also experiencing this issue
same here
I'm having the same issue when trying to share a public facing site.
Have the same issue
Hey folks - The linked issue was a separate bug, this one looks like a change we shipped yesterday to appropriately enforce public app access to Business and Enterprise plans since we've been seeing a bit of abuse around that lately. Not from your apps, but it seems like existing Free and Team plan public apps got caught in that check.
Think the feature has always been part of those plans as long as I've been here, there was just a longstanding bug a while back where we didn't always prevent creating them. And while recently investigating phishing reports, we found we didn't enforce after downgrading plans.
While definitely not an intentional change of behavior, we're following up on how we should balance these cases against the ones taking advantage of the functionality on our side today.
Hi @jmann - just to clarify, is it that you need Business and Enterprise plans in order to use forms? I am currently on a paid Team plan and based on the Retool pricing and forms documentation, it is not clear that forms is a Business and Enterprise plan feature. Or, are you saying that there was a bug related to public app access (a Business and Enterprise plan feature) that was resolved and this issue related to forms was a byproduct of addressing a different bug?
Iยดm using the Team plan too, it would be great if you continue the public link on paid plans!
Hey folks - Removing the public app access when a plan is downgraded is intentional, and we sent that out yesterday to prevent some of the phishing issues we've had reported. And although that should include existing public apps for plans that have already been in this state due to the oversight, that's a case we didn't take into account leading to the sudden lack of access (Not intentional! )
We can temporarily enable them on a case-by-case basis to unblock for now (think I added back for all the subdomains for users in this thread), but they will be disabled again in the near future. So would recommend using that window to migrate the public app functionality if you're on a plan that doesn't include them.
@tiffany We're actively digging into forms perspective now with the owners of that functionality, and will loop back here. That may have been a separate issue around this functionality, but that should work again for you while we figure that out!
Thank you @jmann ! It's a critical part of our drivers' workflow and would love to have it back asap. At the moment forms going down is blocking reporting for our field.
Of course! We're opting to revert this change for now with several of these unexpected cases coming up, which should roll out here in an hour or so (though you should be unblocked since I manually enabled for your subdomain).
For folks on a Free or Team plan, I'd opt to not use and migrate off of existing public apps as that will be prevented in the near future again. For Forms, we're activiely digging into how we want to handle those, thank you all for your patience as we figure this all out!
Hello @jmann One of our client's retool subdomain was also affected with the issue, is there any way you can unblock it also? They're on a team plan as well and it's a paid plan I suppose. The form(s) inside there are very important to them as this is for an actual business use to gather school and teacher trip info for the business.
@jmann is this fix deployed? I am still not able to access public links
my public page back to normal here.
thanks.
Was just getting back here to let you all know the revert landed and a hard-refresh should get things back to normal!
