I was in the middle of creating a new table in Retool Database and accidentally clicked outside of the modal, discarding my work without warning. Quite inconvenient that I have to define the columns again from scratch.

That is really frustrating. I'm trying to reproduce on my end on the current cloud version to see if this is a bug. In my case, I'm seeing the changes persist when I look at the component tree.
Do you see the modal and table listed within your component tree? Are you using the modal frame or modal (depreciated) component? What version of retool do you use?

Sorry, I meant to say the Retool Database under Resources:
Pulled up the Create Table modal by clicking the '+' button:
Clicking outside of this modal dismisses it, with no warnings even if you had filled out the fields.

No apologies necessary! I could see this being a big friction point. I'll make a ticket and see if we can get this improved. Thanks for raising the concern.
