Protect my public apps with login page

  • Goal: I created an app which wil be used by some selected people of my company and "THEY DON"T HAVE RETOOL ACCOUNT, NOR WE ARE PLANNING TO GIVE EVERYONE RETOOL DASHBOARD ACCESS" now I want these people to access the app I created. I shared it as public but anyone can figure out the url and will be able to access that app, and yes it's 2024 people have numerous way to figure out an public url. So basically I want to create a login page and "YES!!!" I read your whole document and pls don't give this url in response Custom API authentication | Retool Docs bcz this paragraph dosen't male sense
    "Like OAuth 2.0 and other SSO based auth options, custom auth workflows store variables related to the authenticating user's Retool account. Because public app viewers do not use a Retool account, custom auth is not supported in public apps."
    is there no way so that people with my company email should be allowed to register "NOT FOR RETOOL ACCOUNT" but for "MY APP".

Correct me if I am woring anywhere..

No it is not possible to give them access, as you say, to your app. They have to be within your account, and within it (with a business level subscription) you can define permissions so that your users can access only that app.

Public apps are fully accessible to everyone. With our Free plan, you can grant access to up to five selected members of your company, though they will have edit permissions within your organization.
