On Prem - Table headers vertical

  1. My goal: I’ve tried the options available in the community without success
  2. Issue: I just want to swing the header orientation vertically as the table looks horrible as is.
  3. Retool version & hosting setup (Docker, K8s, cloud provider, etc.):

Hey @kowuspelser - not 100% sure on the ask here but Retool’s latest on-prem stable release includes the ability to wrap header text. you can find it in the 3 dots by appearance. Is that what you’re looking for?

Thanks David, not looking for a wrap but rather an orientation change to 90 degrees.

Hi @kowuspelser,

Unfortunately that is not currently possible for Retool tables. I can make a feature request for this functionality to allow for making column headers vertical (reading top to bottom).

Have you tried using the 'Automatic column width' checkbox (fifth from the top)that is inside the screenshot @DavidD provided?

Yes please, it’s relevant especially with our table that we use with numerous measures in a RAG. It would look a lot cleaner especially as we add more columns.

Ok great, just made that feature request. I will update this thread with any news I hear from the engineering team on that ticket :+1:
