We've intentionally kept this thread open because the corresponding ticket hasn't yet been addressed internally. There seems to be something fundamentally flawed with the way dynamic row heights are calculated, but I'll dig into it more and talk to the team.
In general, though, we do mark functional, low-lift workarounds as "solutions" for the sake of visibility. We also add a #workaround tag to the topic whenever doing so. In this particular case, another potential workaround is to make the cell background fully transparent. I recognize that this and similar workarounds may not be suitable for all use cases, but they're worth sharing if they do unblock a subset of users!
We’ll be using the zebra workaround for now.
