New: Retool University πŸŽ“

Hi Retool Community!

We know learning to effectively build, deploy, and manage your entire business on Retool can take more than just a few minutes.

We’re launching Retool University to introduce you to the fundamentals of Retool and equip builders, developers, admins, and architects with a learning path right for you.

Retool University provides:

  • :movie_camera: curated videos
  • :microscope: step-by-step labs
  • :pencil2: tailored coursework
  • :notebook: external resources
  • :name_badge: digital badges!
  • :bar_chart: the ability to track your progress via individual analytics

To get started

Go to university.retool.com and sign-up for an account, separate from any other Retool accounts you may have. As you use the platform, please provide feedback in our surveys and feedback form – we want Retool University to be the best way to get a crash course on everything Retool.

Build and share as you learn

We hope you find working through the material and building in Retool itself a complementary experience.

If you’re inspired and reach a breakthrough β€œaha” learning moment, please share it with your fellow builders in Community Show & Tell :raised_hands:

Edit: I just received the invitation after the third try and now I'm in :raised_hands:

Hi @Chris_Riley,

Very excited about this!

I was eager to get signed up, but I seem to get an error message every time I submit my email address. The address differs from the one I normally use for Retool.

Any help would be appreciated!

hi @avr

I see that an invite was sent to the email address you provided on the backend. Please confirm if you received it. From the image you shared you need to provide a full email address (username@domain.com).

thx
Chris

Hi Chris,

Third time was the charm, I'm in!

I filled in my full email address before submitting, I just left out a part of it for the screenshot.

Thx @avr for the update and look forward to your feedback!

Hey @Chris_Riley,

I wanted to check out some of the courses today, however I stumbled upon this:

It would be great if the different modules could be accessed even though if previous ones have not been completed. I really don't want to go through introductory modules that I know won't give me much added value.

Thanks

Hi @MiguelOrtiz you can access individual courses by selecting the courses tab. Not all of them are published but we have individual Fundamentals and Adv. Developer courses listed there. More individual courses will appear through October not requiring you to have to take a path.

Below is what it looks like:

thanks for the feedback!
Chris
