Month and date reverse when manually entering dates in dd/MM/yyyy format

Enter date manually - note that calendar interprets date as month:

And when I tab out the month/date are reversed:

Note this only occurs when the date is 12 or lower.

Would really be nice to have this fixed - looking at the forum it seems to have been around a while, and it's tripping up a lot of users that aren't putting dates through the calendar. I'd consider it a fairly fundamental issue.
