You're raising a fair point, I totally understand, the AI angle really has changed the weight of this ask, and I've flagged it internally with that framing. We don't have a native WYSIWYG Markdown editor yet, but in the meantime jamesg31's community-built featured above: WYSIWYG Markdown and HTML Editor is the best unblock I've seen. I'll circle back here if anything moves on the native side.
